Lesson Four – Castle Emblems

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe some of the different shapes and patterns that have been used in a design, a shared reading text to select and print patterns and shapes for a flag design and a template to print the design for a coat of arms to represent the school.

This lesson is part of an art and design scheme of work to get the children to explore and test different methods of printing shapes and patterns that can be used to make the design for a flag to fly on top of a castle.
