Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe common weather patterns that can be experienced during the winter, a template to record changes that can occur to water when it has been frozen into ice and a worksheet to complete pictures to show the typical weather that might be experienced in the summer and winter.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to explore how the weather changes during winter and its effect on the natural world including how water can freeze and turn to ice when the temperature falls below zero.
