Lesson Five – Street Vehicles

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe the function of different types of vehicles, a template to count and record numbers of vehicles seen on one street in the local area close to the school using a pictogram and a set of cards to make and label models of different types of vehicles that might be seen on a street.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to conduct a survey to record the number of different vehicles that can be seen in a street close to the school.
This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare different types of buildings and objects that can be found on a street or road that is part of the school neighbourhood.
