Lesson Six – Easter Garden

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify the sequence of events in a story from the Bible about how Jesus rose from the dead and a set of cards to locate and label different parts of a flower and plant to understand growth during spring.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore the resurrection of Jesus and make a model of a garden with different flowers and plants.
This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to explore and illustrate the main sequence of events in the Easter story and understand the role of different characters in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
