Lesson Four – Palm Sunday

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to explain the sequence of events in a story from the Bible about Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem and templates to design and make a card to welcome Jesus as a special visitor and record what people might have said when Jesus arrived into Jerusalem.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem and suggest how to welcome visitors in similar scenarios.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to explore and illustrate the main sequence of events in the Easter story and understand the role of different characters in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
