Lesson Six – Journey Planning

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify some of the different objects that might be needed for specific journey destinations and a template to select and record information about some of the vehicles that can be used for different journeys.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to plan a family journey to somewhere special using different forms of transport.

This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different journeys that can be made by bus, train or plane for a range of purposes by families. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
