Lesson Five – Classmates

This curriculum topic teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to practise producing and presenting a portrait of a classmate to learn the names and locations of each of the different parts of the face.
The class can work with a partner to play a guessing game to identify the name and location of some of the other main parts of the human body and suggest their matching functions.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify the names and functions of some of the different parts of the human body and a set of cards to play a guessing game to name different parts of the body and their matching sets of functions.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to investigate and practise some of the different artwork techniques that can be used when composing and painting a portrait of a classmate.
