Activities in this teaching pack include display posters and a shared reading text to identify and describe how the pyramids were built in Ancient Egypt in the past, a template to research and record facts and information about Ancient Egyptian pyramids and a worksheet to format and structure a diary entry about how the pyramids were built in Ancient Egypt by writing as a character from the past.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to write a diary entry to describe some of different reasons for the building of pyramids in Ancient Egypt.

This lesson is part of a history scheme of work to get the children to explore how and why the Ancient Egyptians constructed and used different pyramids and tombs to reflect their beliefs about the afterlife.
