Changing Seasons

This assembly scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to investigate changes that can happen to the natural world during the four seasons of the year and reflect on similar changes that can occur in people’s lives. The class can suggest how to make preparations to any changes that can occur in the future,

Autumn Harvest
Identify and explain how to follow the example of farmers during the autumn season by harvesting skills and knowledge to share with others

Practise explaining and describing how different elements of the natural world make preparations for the winter during the autumn season of the year

Practise identifying and calculating the timing and duration of rides and events when visiting a theme park on a special family trip

Identify and record how to compose and publish recounts using adverbials of time and place to describe family holidays to different places in the world

Explain and model how to use standard written calculation methods to multiply money amounts in pounds and pence when solving number problems
