Lesson Three – Rainforest Animations

This computing teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to explain and model some of the different ways of building a multimedia presentation about a rainforest habitat by adding a range of special animations.
The class can test different ways of animating the entrance of text and graphics that can be used to describe aspects of life that can be observed in a rainforest location.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe different ways of animating the entrance of text and graphics in a multimedia slide about a rainforest and a worksheet to practise adding animations to a slide in a multimedia presentation about life in a rainforest habitat.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore and model ways of building a multimedia presentation about a rainforest by adding different animations.
This lesson is part of a computing scheme of work to get the children to select, manipulate and combine different forms of media to create a multimedia presentation about an aspect of life in a rainforest habitat. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
