Lesson Six – Painting Changes

This art and design teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to explore and evaluate completed class paintings of river scenes that include water reflections of some of the things that can be seen on the riverbanks.

The class can practise using different techniques to improve the colour shapes and shapes of the reflections in their paintings to indicate what might be seen in a body of water.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to evaluate a painting of a river scene that includes water reflections of things seen on the riverbank.

This lesson is part of an art and design scheme of work to get the children to explore and emulate techniques used by significant artists working in paint to create impressions of reflections seen in different bodies of water.
