Lesson Two – Summer Weather

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe weather to match the different seasons of the year, a set of cards to keep a record of daily weather during the summer which can be displayed on a board in the classroom and a template to record items of clothing suitable for weather that might be experienced in the summer.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore and record the daily weather to describe weather patterns and changes experienced during the summer.
This lesson is part of a science scheme of work to get the children to identify, observe and record some of changes to the natural world that can occur during the summer including weather and climate and animal habitats. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
