Lesson One – Summer Signs

This science teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to identify and describe some of the different signs that can be seen in the natural world that indicate the season of the year as the summer.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe changes to the natural world that can occur during spring and summer, a worksheet to record signs of summer that can be observed in the school grounds or local park and a template to select and record changes to the natural world that can occur in the summer using the five senses.
