Lesson Three – Bus Sentences

This English teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to identify and record different sentences that can be used in a story or an explanation about a range of journeys that could be made using a bus.

The class can explain and model how to correctly punctuate sentences that are written as questions explaining how to travel somewhere special by bus.

Download this teaching pack including a lesson plan, classroom activities and an interactive presentation to teach the children to identify and record different sentences that can be used in a story or an explanation about a range of journeys that could be made using a bus

Activities in this teaching pack include shared reading texts to identify and describe how to write an explanation to illustrate how and why something happens and make comparisons between an explanation and a fictional story about travelling by bus and a template to select and record sentences that could be used in an explanation or fictional story about travelling by bus.
