Activities in this teaching pack include a set of cards to identify and spell a selection of different words beginning with the letters c and k phoneme sounds to use when role-playing imagined scenes from a specific traditional story to show an alternative sequence of events.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to use a range of puppet characters to sequence and retell some of the events that can happen in different traditional stories.

This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to role-play different traditional stories using drama and speaking and listening skills and match initial phonemes in cvc words to letters of the alphabet. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
