Lesson Two – Story Dialogue

This literacy teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to adapt and suggest dialogue that might have been spoken by each of the characters in a traditional story about the Billy Goats Gruff.

This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to explore the characters in a traditional story using reading and role-play to sequence and adapt the narrative and practise segmenting and blending phonemes in cvc words. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
