Lesson Three – Mrs Claus

This literacy teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to complete storyboards using pictures and sentences to recount and sequence some of the the daily jobs and actions of Mrs Claus at the North Pole.
The class can create some different Christmas cards illustrating one of the jobs that Mrs Claus needs to complete at her home to support her husband.

Activities in this teaching pack include a set of cards to identify and sequence what Mrs Claus might need to do at the North Pole and templates to record actions and jobs that Mrs Claus might perform at the North Pole to sequence into the correct order and make a model of a Christmas card to illustrate one action or job.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to recount the daily actions and jobs of Mrs Claus at the North Pole.
This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to record and sequence recounts to describe the activities of characters who live and work at the North Pole including Santa Claus, the elves and the reindeer. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
