North Pole

This literacy scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to record and sequence recounts to describe the actions of characters who live and work at the North Pole. The can make models and create cards illustrating some of the special things that happen on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day at the North Pole.

Identify and make lists of jobs and instructions that the elves might need to follow when making toys at the North Pole ready for Christmas

Lesson Two : Reindeer Stables
Record and sequence some of the different jobs and actions that Santa can follow when caring for reindeer at the North Pole in their stables

Lesson Three : Mrs Claus
Complete storyboards using pictures and sentences to recount and sequence some of the the daily jobs and actions of Mrs Claus at the North Pole

Lesson Four : Christmas Eve
Identify and sequence some of the different actions and jobs that Santa might need to perform on Christmas Eve when delivering presents around the world

Lesson Five : Boxing Day
Devise and structure storyboards to describe some of the different things that can happen at the North Pole after Christmas
