Lesson Two – Car Journeys

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe family visits to different places, a template to select and record a list of items needed for a specific journey to one location and a set of cards to sort building a list of things that might be needed for a family picnic.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to record different lists showing the preparations that might be needed for a range of journeys by families in a car.

This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different journeys that can be made by bus, train or plane for a range of purposes by families. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
