Lesson Three – Bakery

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters and cards to identify and describe some of the different items that can be sold in a bakery, a template to select and indicate food preferences for different items that could be bought in a bakery and a set of cards to record prices for a range of bakery products to use when role-playing a shopping trip.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore the range of products that can be bought at a bakery that can be found close to the school’s location.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to explore the locations and functions of different shops that can be found in the local area and identify and compare products that are sold in each shop. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
