Lesson Five – Kitchens

The class can select and record a list of ingredients that will be needed to prepare one of their favourite meals that can be cooked inside a kitchen.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe some of the different objects that can be used in a kitchen and a template to make models of different foods for a favourite meal using a range of kitchen utensils and appliances.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore some of the different objects that can be found in a particular room inside a house.
This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to investigate, describe and compare some of the different types of homes found in the local area around the school environment. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
