Lesson Four – Castle Siege

This history teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to explore how to identify and record a matching set of instructions for an army to follow about how to lay siege to and attack a castle in the past.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe how to lay siege to a castle, a set of cards to sequence a set of instructions to show the correct ways of laying siege to a castle and a template to select and record what might be said by different figures during the siege of a castle in the past.
