Lesson Three – Easter Fun

This English teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to select and use present and past verb tenses to describe some of the different events and experiences that families can use to celebrate Easter.

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify and define vocabulary words that can be used to express past and present tense in a poem about Easter, a worksheet to convert sentences from the present to the past tense using the correct vocabulary words in sentences about Easter and a set of cards to match sentences about Easter recorded in the present and past tense.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to use present and past verb tenses to describe different events and experiences that families can use to celebrate Easter.

This lesson is part of an English scheme of work to get the children to select and use descriptive vocabulary words to compose a poem describing different things that can be seen in a family garden at Easter.
