Lesson Five – Design Edit

This computing teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to practise changing and editing the selected design of a graphic shape that can be used to represent a Viking Longship sail.
The class can review and evaluate their completed designs against a set of success criteria and suggest how the graphics might be improved to better represent Viking life.
Download this teaching pack including a lesson plan, classroom activities and an interactive presentation to practise changing and editing the selected design of a graphic shape that can be used to represent a Viking Longship sail
Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and explain how to change and edit the design of a graphic shape and a template to evaluate a graphic used to represent a Viking Longship sail and suggest improvements to the design.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to change and edit the design of a graphic shape that can represent a Viking Longship sail.
This lesson is part of a computing scheme of work to get the children to select, combine and adjust different graphic shapes to create the design that could be used on a replica Viking longship sail. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
