Activities in this teaching pack include a set of cards to select and record different addition number calculations with matching sums to ten and a worksheet to choose and model number shapes to show the addition sums that are one more than numbers to ten.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to record number sentences to show how to add pairs of single digit numbers to ten.

This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to practise adding pairs of one digit numbers by using counting on from the biggest number working with concrete equipment and diagrams to support calculations.
