Lesson One – Dominoes

Activities in this teaching pack include a set of cards to count and order all of the numbers from one to ten recorded using domino shapes and a worksheet to play a game to count and identify and match the digits for the numbers to six when rolling a dice.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to count and order different numbers of shapes to match each of the numerical digits to ten.
This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to practise counting different numbers of objects to ten, match numerals to counted objects and sort numbers into their correct order. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
