Unit K – Christmas Shopping

This numeracy scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to solve a range of money problems about different things that families might need to buy to celebrate Christmas by adding money amounts within twenty. The class can use concrete objects and diagrams to count on when adding numbers.

Model how to add pairs of single digit numbers to calculate the cost of buying cards for friends and family to celebrate Christmas

Lesson Five : Christmas Lists
Identify and record how to use counting on to add pairs of money amounts to ten pence to record the presents that have been placed in a stocking
