Unit C – One More

This numeracy scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to count and record numbers of different objects that are one more than numbers to ten by using objects around the school and in the local area. The class can use diagrams and concrete equipment to record sums that are one more than different numbers.

Lesson Two : Cars, Vans and Lorries

Practise adding one more to sets of counted numbers of different vehicles to ten that can be seen around the local area

Lesson Three : Buses

Practise counting and recording one more for different numbers of passengers that might be travelling on a bus using sums to ten

Lesson Four : Houses

Identify and count one more for numbers to ten using different parts that can be seen on some of the houses that are close to the school’s location

Practise counting and recording one more for different numbers of people that might live in an area close to the school for sums to ten
