Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify and describe the sequence of events in a story from the Bible about the birth of Jesus and worksheets to compose a prayer that might have been spoken by one of the characters in the Nativity story.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to compose prayers that could have been recited by different characters as part of the Nativity story.

This lesson is part of a RE and English scheme of work to get the children to explore and record some of the main events occurred surrounding the birth of Jesus by composing a range of different texts to sequence and illustrate what happened. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
