Shape Angles

This maths scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to identify, record and classify some of the different types of angles that form the individual properties of a range of 2D shapes. The can practise using protractors and number calculations to find he values of the angles in different shapes.

2D Shape Angles
Identify, record and compare the different types of angles that can be found on a range of 2D shapes including right, acute and obtuse angles

Triangle Angle Sums
Identify and calculate the size of some of the different types of angles that can be found in a range of triangular shapes including equilateral and isosceles triangles

Triangle Angle Match
Identify and record a selection of different shaped triangles that match the sets of three angles for the sum of one hundred and eighty degrees for each shape

Parallelogram Angles
Identify, classify and calculate the size of each of the four angles that can be found in different example parallelogram shapes

Angle Measurements
Explain and model how to measure and calculate the different types of angles that can be found in a range of shapes including triangles and quadrilaterals
-
3D Shape Labels
Identify and record how to label models and illustrations of some different 3D shapes to indicate their special properties
-
Adventure Plays
practise composing and performing play scripts using the correct structure and format to illustrate adventures to different locations
-
Shakespeare Plays
Investigate the structure and format of different scenes extracted from plays by William Shakespeare to use for drama performances
-
Greek Myths
Practise composing narrative stories to illustrate the structure and format of myths based on culture and traditions from Ancient Greece
