Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe language used in example adverts for a range of classroom jobs and templates to compile an advert for a job that needs to be completed in the classroom outlining the requirements and duties and use persuasive language to complete application forms.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to write adverts and complete application forms for some of the different jobs that need to be performed in a school classroom.

This lesson is part of an English scheme of work to get the children to practise using persuasive language and sentence structures to compose and present requests about different things that could happen in the school. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
