North Pole Letters

This English scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to identify and model how to format and structure letters correctly to and from different characters living at the North Pole. The class can describe some of the sentence structures and vocabulary that can be used to structure letters for specific purposes.

Explain and record how to write a reply to a letter to persuade Santa Claus to deliver presents on Christmas Eve

Devise and compose sets of letters that might be written and sent by Santa Claus for a range of different purposes to other characters

Plan and write a selection of different letters that might have been sent from elves working at the North Pole to a special friend
