Lesson Four – Ten Commandments

This religious education teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to investigate and record the different commandments that were issued by God to the Hebrews about how to live their lives by following a set of special rules.
The class can select and record rules that other pupils should follow to emulate the ten commandments that were given to Moses.

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify and describe the sequence of events in a story from the Bible about Moses and a template to select and record rules for the class to follow based on the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore and record the different rules and commandments that were issued by God to the Hebrews.
This lesson is part of a religious education scheme of work to get the children to identify, record and illustrate the sequence of different events that occurred during the story of Moses from the Old Testament. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
