Lesson Three – Special Gifts

This religious education teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to identify, describe and record some of the different gifts that can be given on special occasions and celebrations between members of a family.
The class can select and produce lists of celebrations that can be enjoyed by families throughout the year and name the matching types of gifts for each special time.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe objects to match different family and religious celebrations and a table display card to name and describe some of the gifts and objects that are used in different special celebrations throughout the year.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore some of the different gifts that can be given on family occasions and celebrations during special times of the year.
This lesson is part of a religious education scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and illustrate how families can demonstrate and celebrate their beliefs about God through special religious celebrations at Easter. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
