Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and explain why different objects are special to individuals and communities, a table display card to describe different religious and non-religious artefacts that are special to individuals and communities and a template to select and record information about a religious or non-religious artefact that is used for different purposes by families.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore the meaning of a range of different religious and non-religious artefacts used by families for different purposes and functions.
This lesson is part of a religious education scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and illustrate how families can demonstrate and celebrate their beliefs about God through special religious celebrations at Easter. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
