Toy Factory

This physical education scheme of work for Key Stage One gets the children to select, develop and perform dance steps to represent and illustrate movements of different toys and games. The PE lesson plans get the class to combine dance steps at different levels and speeds to show how toys might be made in a factory.

Lesson Two : Kites
Develop and perform a range of different movements to represent the power of the wind as shown in toys

Lesson Three : Cars
Practise using a range of dance movements on different levels to represent a car journey

Lesson Four : Race Cars
Develop and practise actions to suggest dance movements representing toy race cars

Lesson Five : Factory Robots
Create and perform a range of dance movements to illustrate movements made by different toys

Lesson Six : Toys Performance
Develop and perform a range of dance actions and steps to represent different movements for toys

Castle Defense
Investigate and record different ways that castles were constructed and located in the past to provide protection to the inhabitants and local community

Digit Addition
Practise adding different pairs of single digit numbers to record matching sums to ten using concrete equipment and diagrams to support calculations

Suffix Sentences
Identify and illustrate how word roots can change their spellings meanings after suffixes have been added when used in some example sentences
