Toy Factory

This physical education scheme of work for Key Stage One gets the children to select, develop and perform dance steps to represent and illustrate movements of different toys and games. The PE lesson plans get the class to combine dance steps at different levels and speeds to show how toys might be made in a factory.

Lesson Four : Race Cars
Develop and practise actions to suggest dance movements representing toy race cars

Lesson Five : Factory Robots
Create and perform a range of dance movements to illustrate movements made by different toys

Lesson Six : Toys Performance
Develop and perform a range of dance actions and steps to represent different movements for toys

Garden Flowers
Identify and record how to use pictograms to organise and present information about some of the special flowers growing in a family garden

Clock Minutes
Read, match and record times to five minutes using analog and digital clock faces that can identify start times for different events and experiences

Springtime Sentences
Explain and model how to compose and punctuate sentences using capital letters and full stops correctly to describe spring events and experiences

Family Visit
Read and write recounts of a family visit to a special location that also includes weather information
