Activities in this teaching pack include a set of display posters to identify the seas around the coastline of the United Kingdom and describe the main features of the beaches and shore fronts and a template to produce a collage showing some of the activities that could be competed when visiting the UK coastline.
The interactive presentation gets the children to identify, name and locate the main seas that surround the United Kingdom and describe some of the different features that could be viewed and experienced when making a visit to the coast.
This lesson is part of a geography scheme of work to get the children to Identify the name and location of the four main countries in the UK and describe their matching capital cities and investigate the seas that surround each country. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
