Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify and describe some of the special things that can happen in a seaside location and differentiated letters to structure and format a letter to describe a specific location and make comparisons between living in their own home and a seaside town.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to write a reply to a letter from a pen pal living at the seaside to research and find out more information about the location.
