Lesson Three – What Bread

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and define vocabulary words that can be used to describe different types of bread and a set of cards to select and make models of breads to match a range of different vocabulary words for appearance, colour and texture.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to compare different types of bread that can be used to make a range of sandwiches for sale in a cafe.

This lesson is part of a design technology scheme of work to get the children to select and combine different ingredients to design and make a range of foods including sandwiches and cakes that can be sold in café in a city location.
