Lesson Two – Seashore Materials

This art and design teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to investigate, describe and compare the appearance and texture of some of the different materials that can be found at the seashore.

This lesson is part of an art and design scheme of work to get the children to combine and shape a selection of different natural and art materials to produce artwork reflecting ideas and themes about the sea. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
