Activities in this teaching pack include templates to test and record how much water can be poured into different sized bottles using the correct vocabulary words and a worksheet to identify and record vessels and containers that can hold more cubes than a small pot.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to use the correct vocabulary words to describe the capacity of different vessels and containers.
This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to measure, compare and record the mass and capacity of different objects and containers using a range of non-standard measurements. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
