Activities in this teaching pack include worksheets to record a selection of objects that can be found around the classroom that are taller or shorter than different towers of cubes and a template to make comparisons between pairs of classroom tools

The interactive presentation gets the children to identify and explain how to use non-standard measurements to compare the height of different objects.

This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to practise and model different ways of measuring and comparing the length, height, volume, capacity and mass of different objects by using counting skills.
