Activities in this teaching pack include a template to measure and record the number of cubes that are the same mass as different objects and a worksheet to select and list some of the different objects that can be found around the classroom that are heavier or lighter than another object.

The interactive presentation gets the children to practise making comparisons between pairs of objects using the correct vocabulary for lighter and heavier and by counting matching numbers of cubes.

.This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to practise and model different ways of measuring and comparing the length, height, volume, capacity and mass of different objects by using counting skills.
