This numeracy teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to select, count and record numbers of things that can be found in a woodland location to match numbers to twenty using words and digits.

Woodland Trees
Select, count and record numbers of trees that can be found in a woodland location to match numbers to twenty using words and digits

Autumn Leaves
Count and record different numbers of leaf shapes that might be seen during the autumn season to twenty using words and digits

Tree Acorns
Count, match and record different numbers of acorns that have fallen from trees in the autumn season for each of the numbers to ten

Apple Tree
Select different numerals to five, ten and twenty and make matching models of apples to record on the shape of a tree to match the counted numbers

Woodland Numbers
count and record in numerical digits the matching numbers of different objects that can be seen in a wooded area that is a part of the school’s neighbourhood
