Easter Egg Sums

This numeracy scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify and record matching numbers of Easter eggs that make sums to five, ten and twenty when using different number skills. The class can produce pictures and models to display their calculations sums for pairs of numbers.

Count and record different numbers of matching Easter egg shapes to twenty that have been recorded using both words and digits

One More Egg
Identify, calculate and record matching sets of Easter egg shapes that are one more than different numbers to five, ten and twenty

One Less Egg
Identify, calculate and record the numbers of Easter egg shapes that are one less than different numbers to twenty
