Cubes and Cuboids

This numeracy scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify and record different types of 3D shapes that can be seen in a range objects by sorting and modelling examples of each shape. The class can practise counting numbers of matching sets of 3D shapes.

School Cubes
Identify and record some of the different objects that are shaped as cubes that can be found in locations around the school building and grounds

Cube Shapes
Select, count and record the numbers of cube shapes that have been used to make a range of different design models

Cuboid Shapes
Identify and record some of the different objects that are shaped as cuboids that can be found in locations around the school building and grounds

Cuboid Towers
Select, count and record the numbers of cuboid shapes that have been used to make a range of different design models

Identify and describe some of the different colours that can be used when buying, preparing and making foods for a range of meals
