Lesson One – Goldilocks

This literacy teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify and record some of the different characters, settings and themes that have been used in a traditional story about Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify and describe some of the different characters, settings and themes in a traditional story, a writing template to select and record some of the different objects that could feature in a traditional story and a worksheet to match and groups sets of different cvc words that end with the same final sound.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore some of the different characters, settings and themes used in a traditional story about Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to identify and describe common characters, settings and themes used in traditional stories and suggest story changes using role-play and written composition.
