Lesson Two – Autumn Colours

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify and define vocabulary words used in a poem to describe how leaves change colour in the autumn, a set of cards to identify and match adjectives that can be used to describe different autumn materials and a template to complete sentences by adding matching names for different colours.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to identify vocabulary and define words used to describe the colour of different autumn leaves in a poem.

This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to investigate structure and language used in a range of poems about the autumn and identify phonemes that comprise sounds in different cvc words.
