This curriculum topic scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different journeys that can be made by bus, train or plane for a range of purposes by families. The class can select and make lists of items needed for journeys to specific locations.

Lesson Three : Bus Travel
Identify and record how to sequence a set of instructions about how to make a bus journey using matching times to the hour

Lesson Four : By Train
Describe and compare travelling somewhere special by train with similar types of journeys using other forms of transport

Lesson Five : By Plane
Select and describe some of the different locations and destinations that could be visited by a family using air travel on an aeroplane

Select and plan a family journey to somewhere special that can be completed using different forms of transport
