School Shop

This curriculum topic scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify and describe the layout of different types of shops and role-play running a classroom shop to sell a range of products made by the class. The class can name some of the different sections and aisles that could be included in a school shop.

Lesson One : Building Shops
Identify and describe some of the special materials that can be used to design and build a range of different shop fronts

Lesson Two : Shop Layout
Select and devise a layout plan to arrange some of the different parts and sections that can be found inside a specific type of shop

Lesson Three : Shop Signs
Design and make a range of signs and posters that can be used to sell a selection of different items in the school shop

Lesson Four : Shop Badges
Design and create a range of different badges to make some products that can be sold in the school shop to other pupils and parents

Lesson Five : Shop Shelves
Prepare an area in the classroom as a shop that can be used to sell a range of products made by the class to other pupils and parents

Lesson Six : Selling Badges
Explain and role-play how to run a classroom shop to sell a range of different products that have been made by the class
